My early research has mainly concerned psychophysics, whereas my more recent research is increasingly concerned with cognitive processes. Am I a psychophysicist turned cognitive psychologist? Hardly. Apart from a sustained interest in psychophysics, my research in cognitive psychology is informed by a strong influence of psychophysical methods and ideas. My overall research outlook faithfully reflects the confluence of domains and inspiration by my mentors and colleagues at Yale, Bar-Ilan, and Tel-Aviv (see Genealogy).
