About Us<\/h2>\n

The ability to recognize\npeople is essential for effective social functioning. Faces, bodies, and voices\nare fascinating stimuli that convey rich perceptual and social information. In\nour lab, we aim to understand how perceptual, cognitive, and social systems\nwork together to accomplish the computationally challenging task of person\nrecognition. To achieve this, we conduct behavioral and neuroimaging\nexperiments and employ computational models, such as vision and language deep learning\nalgorithms, to uncover the mechanisms that allow humans to excel in this\ncomplex task.
Understanding these\nmechanisms not only enhances our knowledge of person recognition but also sheds\nlight on broader processes of learning and memory, as well as how social,\nconceptual, and perceptual information interact to enable the recognition of\ncomplex categories that convey rich information.   \n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n
