I am Associate Professor of <\/a>Sociology, Director of the B.I. and Lucille Cohen Institute for Public Opinion Research<\/a>, and Head of the Demography Research Lab at Tel Aviv University. I received my PhD from the University of Texas at Austin (2014) and was formerly Postdoctoral Fellow in Population Health at the London School of Economics (2015-2016). I have held visiting positions at the University of Oxford, Harvard University, Stockholm University, and the European University Institute.\n <\/p>\n

As a sociologist and demographer specializing in social stratification and health, I study the social determinants of longevity and inequality in human lifespans. My research has been published in leading scientific journals including Science, JAMA, Demography, Population and Development Review, <\/span>and The Journals of Gerontology<\/span>. I have been awarded competitive research grants from the European Research Council (ERC-CoG), the Israel Science Foundation, and the German-Israeli Foundation for Scientific Research and Development.\n <\/p>\n

My secondary research interests include quantitative methodology, environmental demography, and the sociology of knowledge and data production.
