Hadas Mandel<\/h2>\n

I am a full professor in\nthe department of sociology and anthropology at Tel Aviv University and the Principal Investigator of the\nERC-funded (Horizon 2020) \u2018Struct. vs. Individ\u2019 project. My published work focuses on the intersection between\ngender, class, race, and social policies, and the complex and seemingly\nparadoxical implications of welfare state policies on women\u2019s economic\nattainments. These works have been published in the American Journal of\nSociology, American Sociological Review, Demography, Social Forces, European\nSociological Review, the British Journal of Sociology and others.

Amit Lazarus<\/h2>\n

Amit Lazarus is the project manager of the project. His main research interests are structural mechanisms of social stratification and inequality in a variety of socio-economic resources and among various social groups. His current research examines gender inequality in housework division across-countries and over-time, especially focusing on contextual mechanisms tied to the division of labor between men and women. His research also seeks to shed light on the importance of unpaid work when explaining gender gaps in labor market outcomes, such as wages, overtime pay, employment and occupational segregation.

Aliza Forman-Rabinovici<\/h2>\n

Aliza is a post-doctoral researcher in the project. She has published in top peer-reviewed journals and her co-authored book Producing Reproductive Rights was published by Cambridge University Press in 2019. Aliza has been the recipient of research grants and scholarships including the Richard and Rhoda Goldman Fellowship Fund Junior Fellow program, Tali Gordon Prize for Academic Excellence, Mirella Haggiag Research Grant and the Heseg Foundation scholarship. Aliza has served as the academic advisor to the Israeli Ministry of Science and Technology as well as a policy researcher and advisor for major political parties and figures in Israel.

Research Focus: Aliza's research focuses on gender, representation and public policy in a comparative perspective, and uses quantitative methodology. Her doctorate explored determinants of abortion policy in a comparative perspective.

Assaf Rotman<\/h2>\n

Assaf Rotman is a post-doctoral researcher in the project. His research interests span between different forms of income and educational inequalities, social movements and distributive justice. His current research examines the perpetuation of gender inequality in recent decades, and especially focuses on the slowdown of the equalization trend that characterized the last decades of the twentieth century. His research seeks to shed light on the ways gender inequality in the labor market is affected by various mechanisms, including gender segregation, the glass ceiling, disparities in the value of human capital, and the relations between gender inequality and income inequality.

Adi Moreno<\/h2>\n

Adi Moreno is a former post-doctoral researcher in the project. Currently she is a gender studies lecturer at the universities of Haifa, Ben-Gurion and\nTel-Aviv-Yafo academic college. Her research interests involve gender
inequality, sexuality and evolving forms of familial living. Adi received her PhD at 2016 from the University of Manchester. Her\nresearch project followed the development of new parenting norms among\nthe gay community in Israel. Her current project addresses the social\nand economic changes in the reformed kibbutz.

Dana Yofe<\/h2>\n

Dana Yofe is the administrative manager of the project. She is currently in her third year of her dual major B.A studies in Sociology and Anthropology and Labor studies at Tel Aviv University. Her current research interests span from gender inequality in the labor market, to immigration induced inequalities, and possible inequalities in the implementation of artificial intelligence.

Yoav worked in the project as an administrative manager and research assistant. Currently, he is studying for a DPhil in Sociology at the University of Oxford, where he researches right wing populism in Europe under the supervision of Prof. Nan Dirk de Graaf. Yoav received his BA and MA from Tel Aviv University, with a thesis on gender-based labour market inequality and globalization, supervised by Prof. Moshe Semyonov and Prof. Hadas Mandel.For updates and contact information,

Sharon saportas<\/h2>\n

At the time Sharon worked in the project she was an MA student at the department of sociology and anthropology at Tel Aviv University. Her thesis focused on the gender segregation within the medical profession in Israel, Under the supervision of Prof. Hadas Mandel. The research was based on a review of updated data regarding women's integration into the medical profession and in-depth interviews with women physicians.
