Roy Zilber is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Direct Ph.D. Program for Excellent Students at Tel Aviv University’s School of Political Science, Government, and International Relations, where he studies under Prof. Udi Sommer and Prof. Eviatar Matania. His research focuses on developing the concept and practical models of technological power. Previously, he served as a Senior Analyst in various positions, engaging in qualitative, quantitative, and in-depth research. Zilber graduated from Tel Aviv University with a B.A. in Political Science (Summa Cum Laude) and History (Summa Cum Laude), finishing first in his class. His academic excellence has been recognized through multiple awards, including the IGS³ Scholarship, four Dean’s Excellence Awards (2019-2022), the Van Leer Prize for Outstanding Research in Humanities, and the Israeli Historical Society Prize for Outstanding Research. His expertise spans national security, international relations, innovation, history, economics, cyber, and technology ecosystems. He currently serves as a teaching assistant and research assistant at the university.
