While prior research has addressed financial aspects, this work examines the potential link between such funding and the rise in domestic protests. The hypothesis suggests that non-democratic states invest heavily in American academia to shape the perspectives of young people\u2014especially future leaders\u2014with the aim of stirring internal unrest and influencing U.S. foreign policy. The study identifies patterns connecting foreign funding to increased campus activism, particularly in regions with strong political identities and diverse populations.
